The addition of Michigan as an active regulated online poker state could be a key domino in getting certain American pros patched up again.
Sen. Hertel is introducing a bill to clarify that online poker can be played across state lines and says, "It should be an easy fix."
Within a few days, 10 of the 26 casinos in Michigan will be open again, but the three commercial casinos in Detroit remain in lockdown.
"Michigan is losing out on a tremendous amount of gaming revenue," Rep. Brandt Iden says, but help could be on the way.
Online gaming bills similar to what the outgoing governor vetoed a year ago are now poised to become law, as is sports betting legislation.
