Unibet Sportsbook Michigan Promo Code and Review
*Unibet Online Sportsbook hasn’t arrived just yet. We are expecting it to go live at some point in the near future, and will update this page accordingly.
Though a newcomer in the United States, Unibet is a household name for sports betting in other parts of the world. As it launches in new areas of the country, the brand is finally starting to get its just due stateside. Michigan will be debuting its online sports betting industry soon and Unibet will be there to help forge the path forward. Ceremonial first bets could be just around the corner.
Unibet MI Bonus Offer
Welcome offers are a sure-fire way for sportsbooks to attract new customers, and with the U.S. betting market being as competitive as it is, Michiganders can expect to see aggressive, lucrative offers. For now we can only get a sense for the future Unibet MI bonus offer by looking at its offerings in other states. It’s likely that Michigan will follow suit:
$20 in Free Bets
Bets that are truly free are a rarity in the online sportsbook universe, but Unibet looks set to lead with them in Michigan. Elsewhere in the U.S. the 2 x $10 free bet promotion is a pillar of the welcome offer.
Upon the successful creation of a Unibet sportsbook account you will immediately find the two free bets waiting in your bet slip. Add your desired wagers to the slip, select the ‘Bonus Offers’ button, and put them to good use. Notably, the free bet itself isn’t included in any winnings – but either way it’s a great value. You can’t beat free.
$250 Risk-Free Bet
The gains don’t stop there. Your first cash wager in the sportsbook will also be risk-free, up to a maximum refund of $250. If the bet loses, Unibet will pay you back within 72 hours, which is a pretty slick deal. In order for your wager to qualify for the promotion it must have minimum odds of -115, and it has to be the only item on your slip when the wager is placed.

When will Unibet Sportsbook launch in MI?
At this point, there is little information on Unibet’s arrival in MI. It doesn’t own or operate any Michigan-based casinos, which means that it will have to partner with one of the state’s federally recognized tribes to gain market access. So far, the operator has yet to announce any partnership plans.
We will keep a keen eye on any new announcements, but for now 2021 is looking more likely than 2020. Make sure to check back for more precise information as Unibet gets its footing in the state.
Unibet’s Reputation: Trusted Worldwide
Unibet is one of the largest online sports betting companies in the world. The operator has functioned in more than 100 countries over its 20+ year existence. Unibet began its U.S. expansion in early 2019 when it launched its first sportsbook in New Jersey. A little over a year later it expanded service to include Pennsylvania and Indiana – with Michigan on deck.
Unibet is known for offering fast payouts, extremely competitive odds, and worthwhile promotional offers. It also provides an excellent selection of betting markets with odds on a wide range of sports.
Once Unibet Sportsbook launches in MI, registration will be open to anyone who is 21 years old and is physically located in the state. The registration process itself is expected to be quick and straightforward. In fact, we have a pretty clear idea of what registration will look like from analyzing other states. Here’s a quick rundown of the signup procedure:
- You will first need to head over to the Unibet MI website or download the Unibet app.
- Click the “Join Now” button.
- Enter your first and last name, gender, and date of birth.
- Fill out your contact information (address and mobile number) and choose a security question.
- Enter the Unibet MI promo code.
- Check the boxes to confirm you are over the age of 21, and that you comply with the T&C.
- Lastly, click “Join” one last time to finish your registration.
After you register, most sportsbooks require you to verify your identity, address, and that you are legally of age. To do this, you will eventually need to send a scanned copy/picture of a government-issued ID.
Prove You’re A Local
Besides age, the only other requirement to legally bet on sports in Michigan is that you have to be in Michigan. This is done by downloading a plugin to your computer that can pinpoint your exact local and relay it over to Unibet. If Unibet doesn’t know exactly where you are, you won’t be able to click the “bet” button. You can still shop lines, markets, etc., but you can’t actually bet.
Now, for those NOT located in Michigan… if the word “VPN” is entering your mind right now – forget it. There are strict, detailed security protocols to prevent customers from gaining access via VPN. What’s more, if you’re caught – it’s a permanent ban. Don’t risk it.
Unibet will offer a wide range of safe and secure payment options. All money transfers are processed quickly and can be easily managed in the “Cashier” section of the website or app. The minimum deposit is set at $10 for all payment methods. Conveniently, the operator also allows you to set limits on how much money you can deposit and wager.
We expect to see all of the following in Michigan:
- Credit / Debit Cards (MasterCard, Visa) – An easy way to quickly make a deposit.
- PayPal – With millions of active users, PayPal is the world’s most popular online payment provider. It is also very secure and quick.
- ACH/E-Check – Another popular, secure payment option that allows quick access to your funds through your banks online checking system.
- Prepaid Play+ Card – Use your Visa, MasterCard or Discover to fund your Unibet Prepaid Play+ card, which you can then use to make deposits on the site.
- PayNearMe – PayNearMe lets you make in-person payments in your local participating 7-Eleven, CVS Pharmacy, or Family Dollar stores.
- Cash at the casino cage – Once it’s B+M partner in the state is established, in-person transactions at the casino cage will also be available. Deposits and withdrawals.
- Paper Check – Receiving a paper check in the mail is a common withdrawal method for young U.S. sportsbooks. Once the cashier gets off the ground and more options are added, it may go away since it is traditionally on the slower side.
Be mindful that you will likely need to make a deposit with most of the available withdrawal methods before you’re permitted to use them for a cash out. That’s normal though, and is just the sportsbook’s way of confirming the account they’re sending money to actually belongs to the right person.
Desktop and Mobile App Overview
Unibet’s website might look a little simple with its trademark green and grey theme, but it’s extremely user friendly. The interface is very easy to navigate, and the website itself is lightning-fast. The operator does a good job of putting a lot of information on each page, while not making it appear cluttered.
As soon as you get to the home page you will get an overview of the games currently in progress, with the results and odds changing in real-time. To the left you’ll find an A-Z list of sports as well as a separate section dedicated to in-play betting.
One of the reasons for Unibet’s popularity is the fact that it’s one of the few operators offering live streaming. Although there is still no information on whether Unibet MI will include live streaming functionality, it would certainly be a big plus.
Customers who prefer betting while on the go will have a choice between Unibet’s mobile website and the Unibet app. Both are very well-designed and provide easy access to all services. The interface is clean and slick with easy navigation. All the options are generally one swipe away.
The app should release for both Android and iOS on launch. iOS users will be able to download the app via the Apple App Store. Android users, on the other hand, need to download and install the app manually from the operator’s website. This is due to Google’s restrictive policy regarding sports betting apps’ availability on Google Play. Nevertheless, Unibet provides detailed instructions on how to download and install the app.
How Secure is Unibet?
In a word? Very. Establishing a safe and secure betting environment is the top priority for all online sportsbooks. With over 20 years in the business, Unibet has an excellent track record. The operator provides services to over 10 million users and each one is well protected.
Player safety isn’t left only to the sportsbook itself, though – it’s also overseen by the Michigan government. The Michigan Gaming Control Board is the state’s regulatory body and is there to oversee gaming operators and ensure safety.
Available Markets and Bet Types
We expect Unibet to offer odds on all major sports, leagues, and events. This includes both domestic, and popular markets from around the world. Rest assured, bettors in Michigan will be able to bet on all their favorite teams… Red Wings, Lions, Tigers, and Pistons included.
Expect the following sports:
- Aussie Rules
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Table Tennis
Additionally, Unibet offers a wide selection of bet types. Make full use of moneylines, totals, and point spreads, as well as live betting, futures, prop bets, and more. Finally, having in mind how fierce the competition will be in this crowded market, look for highly competitive pricing throughout the state.
So far we haven’t seen Unibet introduce a loyalty program to its U.S. users. We have no information on whether this will change once the brand launches in Michigan. In any case, we will make sure to give you updates as soon as we have them. Keep your fingers crossed!
Beyond the initial welcome offer, Unibet provides regular promotions to its existing customers. You will find weekly profit boosts, odds boosts, cash refunds, reload bonuses, and more. All the promotions are neatly grouped in the operator’s “Promotions” section, so you can quickly stay up to date with the latest offers.
Quick and reliable customer support is another important element of every successful online sportsbook. Unibet provides customers with several ways of getting in touch with agents.
Unibet has a toll-free phone line, email, and live chat support in the markets where it’s already live. The phone line and live chat are available daily from 8am to 11pm.
Additionally, Unibet’s website also includes a useful Betting Guide. This is where customers can find all the information regarding each of the betting types offered, complete with examples. We will also see a dedicated FAQ section which will cover the most commonly encountered queries.
Additional Company Info
Before we end our review, let’s talk about the brand itself. Unibet was founded back in 1997 and is part of the Kindred Group. Kindred provides sports betting, online poker, casino, and bingo in over 100 different countries. They’ve currently got more than 10 million active users, and the company’s HQ is in Malta.
Unibet entered the U.S. market in early 2019 when they launched an online casino in New Jersey. It wasn’t long before they got involved in sports betting, too. In September of 2019, Unibet partnered with Mohegan Sun Pocono to cross the border into Pennsylvania.
Indiana is the latest state to witness the launch of a Unibet online sportsbook. They partnered with Caesars, more specifically the Horseshoe Hammond, and began accepting online bets in July 2020.
Colorado, West Virginia, and Michigan are expected to be next in line.
As one of the largest online sportsbooks on the planet, Unibet will be a very welcome addition to the Michigan sports betting market. Unibet has proved time and time again that it knows how to win over customers – expect the book to come out swinging in MI with competitive promotional offers, aggressive pricing, and added services like live streaming.
You can be sure that we will be following any new developments and will update accordingly. Check back with us soon for the latest info.
