BetRivers Sportsbook MI Promo Code and Review

Already one of the biggest digital sportsbook brands in the Midwest, BetRivers is set to make a name for itself in Michigan.

BetRivers sportsbook is now accepting retail bets at Manistee, Michigan’s Litter River Casino Resort and will soon launch one of the state’s first online sportsbooks. The first legal sportsbook in its home state of Illinois, BetRivers also accepts online and retail bets in several other states, including Pennsylvania, Indiana, Iowa and Colorado.

Rush Street Interactive, BetRivers’ parent company, has nearly a decade of retail and online gaming expertise. Michigan online sports bettors should expect similar top-notch performance when Michigan finalizes mobile betting in late 2020 or early 2021. Expect BetRivers to be among the first sportsbooks to take a legal online bet in the state.

From there, eligible Michigan bettors can bet on the Detroit Red Wings, Michigan Wolverines or literally thousands of other teams through their mobile devices from anywhere within state lines.

BetRivers had made its mark in U.S. sports betting in large part due to its generous bonus offers. While its Michigan sportsbook welcome package has not been announced publicly, sports bettors in the state should expect similar options as in other states with BetRivers sportsbooks, such as Illinois and Indiana.

That likely means Michigan’s BetRivers online sportsbook will offer a first-deposit match bonus of up to $250. Expect an easy-to-use (and remember) promo code, which then gives all registered users double their initial deposit (up to $250) in additional funds – before even placing a bet.

More importantly, BetRivers has only a 1X play-through requirement (also known as a rollover) at its other online sportsbooks, one of the lowest offers found anywhere in the country. This means bettors only have to bet their original deposit once before they are eligible to withdraw funds.

For example, if a BetRivers user initially deposits $100 into their account and accepts the bonus, they will only have to place $100 worth of total bets before they are eligible to access the funds from the bonus. Most sportsbooks require 5X, 10X or even 20x+ requirements.

This impressive play-through makes it easier to build a bankroll on BetRivers than with practically any other sportsbook. Be aware there are typically additional restrictions, such as qualifying games the bonuses can be used on, expiration dates, and others, so bettors should double check the fine print before accepting the bonus.

Aside from the initial deposit, BetRivers typically offers new promotion bonuses, parlay specials, boosted odds, and other exclusive house offers every day, meaning bettors have plenty to incentivize them after their original reward. Long-term customers also accumulate additional funds in BetRivers’ “Bonus Bank” as part of the comprehensive iRush Rewards loyalty program.

With Michigan expecting as many as two-dozen digital sportsbooks in the coming years, BetRivers seems ready to stand out with a dazzling array of bonuses.

When Will BetRivers Launch in MI?

Michigan online sports betting could come as early as 2020, but may not launch until 2021. Unlike Midwestern neighbors such as Iowa and Indiana, which started accepting bets roughly three months after they were technically legalized to do so, Michigan regulators are taking a more methodical approach before approving the first digital sportsbooks.

This longer timeframe, officials say, will help assure Michigan bettors a safe and robust sports betting marketplace. A best-case scenario would be in fall 2020, but it may not be until January or February 2021.

The potential 2021 launch of Michigan online sports betting would come more than a year after Gov. Gretchen Whitmer signed a sweeping set of mobile sports wagering, iCasino, and online poker bills into law. Already one of the more progressive gaming states in the nation, featuring a trio of commercial casinos, nearly two-dozen Native American gaming facilities and a multi-billion dollar lottery, Michigan took the next step with the 2019 gaming legislative package; it will be the first Midwestern state with both retail and online casinos, sportsbooks, and lotteries.

Since breaking ground on its first major gaming endeavors nearly three decades ago, Michigan officials have taken a diligent approach to regulating state-sanctioned gambling. Shortly after Whitmer signed the gaming bills in December 2019, regulators said they would not try to expedite the multiple state-mandated requirements for new forms of gaming, which requires public comments, review processes and operator certifications. Further government shutdowns from the coronavirus could also slow down the process.

That didn’t impact the state’s commercial casinos in Detroit, or several Native American casinos from taking in-person bets at their facilities earlier this year. But Detroit’s Greektown, MGM and MotorCity casinos will still have to wait to take an online bet until the Michigan Gaming Control Board officials finalize rules and certifications, which likely won’t be until the end of 2020 or the beginning of 2021. The tribal facilities go through a separate certification process, but they too are likely on hold until 2021.

In the meantime, BetRivers customers can still place an in-person bet at the Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, but the online launch will be far more convenient for millions of Michiganders far removed from the casino, tucked away in the northwestern portion of the Mitt.

BetRivers Reputation

A household name in Illinois, BetRivers and its parent company, Rush Street Interactive, are quickly becoming a gaming leader throughout the region, and the nation as a whole.

Also known in the Mid-Atlantic for its SugarHouse brand, BetRivers has become a staple of casino gaming nationwide. With the proliferation of online sports betting, the growing company is emerging at the top of a competitive field due to its strong bonuses, innovative technology, and customer service reputation.

BetRivers is a clear sports betting bonus leader. In addition to the low play-through requirements for its initial deposit offer, BetRivers’ iRush Rewards loyalty program is also a fan favorite. It gives customers bonus playing cash as well as one-of-a-kind specials. Bettors accumulate bonus points they can use at BetRivers’ bonus store to unlock even more rewards.

Once launched in Michigan, BetRivers will give in-state residents and guests ample opportunities to bet on in-state teams such as the NFL’s Detroit Lions, NBA’s Detroit Pistons, MLB’s Detroit Tigers and the NHL’s Detroit Red Wings. In addition to standard moneyline, pointspread and totals bets, BetRivers offers literally dozens of props and side bets for all major U.S. professional sports organizations plus hundreds of foreign leagues.

Eligible bettors can also use BetRivers to place standard bets on popular in-state college football and basketball programs such as the University of Michigan and Michigan State. Other Midwestern states including Illinois and Iowa restrict or ban bets on in-state college programs, meaning the Wolverine State will be the best-place for Big Ten bettors to enjoy a college football Saturday or a college basketball tournament game.

Better yet, college sports fans can place a bet from inside the Big House or the Breslin Center.

Bettors should expect easy registrations, a leading mobile app, simple withdraw options, and 24-7 customer support from any legal sportsbook, but BetRivers prides itself in all of these areas. The top bonus offers, diverse betting options, and robust mobile betting infrastructure more than justify BetRivers’ sterling reputation in the eyes of U.S. sports bettors.

Signing Up

To sign up for a Michigan online sportsbook, eligible bettors must be at least 21 years old and not on the state’s gambling self-exclusion list. Once digital sportsbooks go live, bettors can sign up from a computer or mobile device anywhere from Detroit to the UP. Bettors can place bets from anywhere within the state, but they won’t be able to if they are physically located outside Michigan.

BetRivers desktop and mobile apps make the rest of the sign-up process simple.

Bettors must first create an account, a straightforward process that usually only takes a few minutes. This requires identification such as first and last name, address, date of birth, and email. Online sportsbooks will also ask for other ID forms such as social security number and possibly a drivers license. Like all licensed online sportsbooks, BetRivers’ system keeps all this information safe and secure.

From there, bettors must fund their account. BetRivers offers multiple ways to pay, including debit cards, ACH transfers eWallets and more. Bettors will also be offered a welcome bonus, which for BetRivers is typically a dollar-for-dollar, first-deposit match, usually up to $250.

Easy, Fast Banking

Michigan online sportsbook payouts are fast and simple. BetRivers, like all other top Michigan online sportsbooks, gives customers multiple ways to fund accounts and easy ways to accept their winnings. Assuming bettors have met all bonus rollover requirements, recouping winnings is as simple as selecting “withdraw” on a user’s desktop or mobile device.

Crucially, BetRivers (and all other legal, regulated online sportsbooks in Michigan) have safe, reliable cashouts that are protected by state regulations. Unlike unregulated offshore sites or illegal bookmakers, BetRivers Michigan sports bettors are rest assured their winnings are safe, and will be received in a timely manner.

Withdrawals

BetRivers offers the following sports betting payout methods in other states and will likely offer at least these options (if not more) when it launches in Illinois.

  • BetRivers Play+ Card: The casino’s preferred method and the fastest way to receive withdrawals.
  • Online Banking / ACH : Bettors also have unencumbered direct access to their personal bank accounts for fund transfers.
  • Cash: Once launched, BetRivers will likely offer cash pay-outs at the casino cage at Little River Casino Resort in Manistee, Michigan.
  • Check: Players’ winnings are sent by mail.

Customers can always contact BetRivers’ Payer Support page for more help.

Depositing

Meanwhile, funding an account is just as easy. There are multiple options suited to meet the needs of a wide range of bettors. All the following are safe and secured, monitored by BetRivers employees as well as state regulators.

  • BetRivers Play+ Card: The best option for BetRivers bettors, this card can be funded via credit cards, debit cards, or bank accounts and allows instant deposits into their account.
  • VIP Preferred: This e-check option is also a safe, secure, and straightforward way to start funding an account.
  • Credit/Debit cards: This is another simple option that allows quick digital payments from Visa, Mastercard, and Discover, though customers may not find it as seamless as the BetRivers Play+ card.
  • ACH: Users can also use online bank accounts from Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and many more baking institutions to directly wire funds. Online banking transfers are also secured and easy to use.
  • eWallets: Digital payment options such as PayPal and the Cash App are also popular for many bettors, but check with BetRivers Michigan first to make sure they are acceptable.
  • PayNearMe: Like PayPal, the growing payment service provider is the preferred option for many bettors. Transactions are initiated online, buy finished in-person with a cash payment at retail establishments like 7-Eleven or CVS.
  • Cash (Little River Casino only): In other states, BetRivers has allowed digital users to make deposits at casino cages. It will likely offer similar options for its Michigan sportsbook.

Desktop and Mobile App Overview

BetRivers’ industry-leading online sports betting platforms makes placing a wager safe and easy from desktops, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.

Desktop

With a fun, crisp layout and prominent bonus options and game streams, the BetRivers desktop interface provides much more than a digital sportsbook.

BetRivers’ desktop site highlights all major popular American sports leagues such as the NBA, MLB, NFL, and NHL atop the page, but its specials and bonus banners help it stand out. BetRivers splashes multiple featured bets, live actions and house specials – all without having to scroll from the sportsbook landing page.

On the righthand side a running “newsfeed” of other users’ big payouts and lengthy winning streaks continuously scrolls. On the left, BetRivers shows off a lengthy table of the most popular bets, capped by unique state-specific specials and its very own “Jackpot Parlay.”

To top it off (literally and figuratively), BetRivers top banner scrolls through not just top bets, but multiple live sports streams, truly making BetRivers’ desktop site a one-stop-shop for digital sports bettors.

Mobile App

Like its desktop display, BetRivers’s mobile app lays out a wide range of betting options while capturing the special offers that will help it stand out among Michigan sports betting apps.

BetRivers users will instantly see the house specials and featured wagers that make it one of the nation’s most popular sports betting brands. The company also has a featured live bet to go along with live streaming options, so users can watch from anywhere to keep track of their wagers.

Better yet, the BetRivers app streamlines its myriad betting and social functions, making it easier than ever to place a bet, follow along with a game, or play along with fellow Michigan sports bettors.

Once it launches in late 2020 or early 2021, BetRivers plans to offer Apple and Android apps, though it has run into regulatory approval issues in other states from the App Store. Still, Michigan bettors should expect state-of-the-art options through both its desktop and mobile apps before long – and unparalleled access to BetRivers’ impressive online offerings either way.

BetRivers Security

The BetRivers online sportsbook takes security seriously, and parent company Rush Street Interactive has been among the industry leaders in mobile betting safety. Like all Michigan online sportsbooks, the BetRivers desktop interface and mobile apps assure bettors their personal information, deposits, and winnings are protected.

Through the better part of a decade operating casino gaming and now sportsbooks, BetRivers has built a mobile interface that assures users safety. Private information is never shared. BetRivers further guarantees players funds are safe.

Like all Michigan online sportsbooks, BetRivers is subject to state regulatory approvals before its expected 2020/2021 launch. The Michigan Gaming Control Board is one of the most diligent gaming regulatory bodies in the country and has a long-standing reputation for excellent consumer protections.

Through security measures before initial deposit, inspections, and advanced internet security protocols, BetRivers mobile app is just as safe as placing an in-person bet at its retail sportsbook at the Little River Casino, its partner in the state. Gaming companies are routinely at the forefront of geolocating and identify verification technologies, assuring only eligible bettors can play, and that their funds and personal information are free from danger.

Available Markets and Bet Types

Michigan online sports betting will accept dozens of bet types, wagers on hundreds of leagues, and options on literally thousands of bets. Here are a few highlights:

  • All major U.S. professional sports leagues, including but not limited to the NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB, MLS, NASCAR, PGA Tour, Indy Car, UFC, WNBA and many more.
  • Dozens of foreign leagues and sports, including international basketball, tennis, baseball, auto racing, golf, rugby, cricket, boxing, Australian rules football and more.
  • Major American college sports, including NCAA football and NCAA basketball.
  • All the most popular bet types, such as pointspreads, moneylines and totals.
  • For larger sports such as the NBA, this is further divided into quarter or half-game lines. Major League Baseball games also feature first-five innings lines.
  • Parlay betting on more than one event, and BetRivers even offers parlay specials.
  • A wide range of in-play and live betting options.
  • Individual player prop bets for major professional leagues, such as how many points will a player score in a game, or which team will score the first run.
  • Hundreds of additional team and player prop bets on major games.

iRush Rewards Loyalty Program

IRush Rewards from BetRivers is one of the best loyalty programs of any online sports betting company. Celebrated by the organization and loved by its members, iRush Rewards gives players “mind-boggling” rewards, including daily and weekly promotions.

Loyalty members accumulate bonus points on every wager, and points increase as players move up in Loyalty Levels. Each bet boosts players up toward the next level, which then accelerates point accumulation.

These bonus points go to BetRivers’ Bonus Bank, an easy-to-use tracker that allows players to determine both when and how to use their bonuses – and unlocks even more bonus opportunities.

Players can then unlock more options through the BetRivers Bonus Store. In the Bonus Store, loyalty members can purchase rewards, then earn additional prizes such as scratch cards, wheel spins, or additional funds to use at the digital sportsbook.

Top loyalty program members can also qualify for the iRush Rewards VIP Program after reaching Level 7, which opens them up to luxury gifts, VIP promotions, and priority service, among other exclusives.

As with any online sportsbook, bonus points take a long time to accumulate, and BetRivers players will need to wager thousands of dollars to advance up the ladder. But iRush Rewards is still one of the more robust, fair, and enticing loyalty scheme of any Michigan online sportsbook.

Other Promotions

Along with its welcome bonus, BetRivers offers daily odds boosts, offering big value to bettors. Plus, they’re generally offered on some of the day’s most popular games that you may have been targeting anyway.

Sometimes encompassing parlay, pointspread, prop, or moneyline bets (among many others), BetRivers’ Odds Boost specials give customers odds that can’t be found anywhere else. For example, a game that most books would list at -110 for both teams may be listed on BetRivers at +120 for both, a huge advantage to bettors.

Better yet, BetRivers options in other states have prioritized primetime, marquee and/or local matchups, even though they are already some of the most bet-on games. In Illinois, BetRivers has offered bonuses on both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox. Michigan bettors should expect similar bets on NFL Sundays for the Detroit Lions, major games featuring the Red Wings or Pistons, and baseball specials featuring the Tigers.

In addition to daily odds boosts, BetRivers promotes daily and weekly specials and bonuses, meaning players should check regularly to see what types of offers are popping up that day.

Support

Both the BetRivers Michigan app and desktop sites are expected to support customers through live chat and e-mail support, helping bettors solve any issue quickly.

The Player Support Chat is typically the fastest way to ask for help. A “support chat” link is prominently displayed on mobile and desktop interfaces, where players are directed to a pop window to ask questions. After submitting their name, email, and state of inquiry, customers type out any question to BetRivers customer support specialists.

BetRivers also offers e-mail support, which like the live chat feature is simple to use. In other states, BetRivers typically offers live support from 9:30 a.m. to as late as 2 a.m.

Meanwhile, the company also has an FAQ section with answers to more than 100 questions covering registration requests, mobile downloads, bonus requirements, technical issues, and responsible gaming, among many other topics.

Additional Company Info

Rush Street traces its roots to the mid 1990’s, when real estate developer Neil Bluhm teamed with financier Greg Carlin to create a multi-faced, multinational corporate conglomerate to bring casino gaming to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Roughly 25 years later, Rush Street, through its BetRivers and Sugar House brands, is perhaps best known for one America’s fastest growing gaming portfolios, and as a leader in the booming online gambling industry.

The first U.S. company to offer a fully integrated online sportsbook and casino, BetRivers operates in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, New York and Colorado, among others, as it continues to grow its gaming web. Named after iconic Rush Street in the founders’ home city of Chicago, the company is now expanding its foothold in the Midwest with a retail sportsbook in Michigan, and a soon-to-launch mobile offering.

Michiganders will soon be able to not only place sports bets anywhere within state lines, but also iCasino and iPoker games through BetRivers. As the first state in the region to offer both retail and online sportsbooks, casino, and lottery games, Michigan will become an epicenter of new digital growth – and Rush Street expects to be at the forefront.
