For the second time in this young NFL season, the Detroit Lions get the national stage to themselves on a Thursday night, this time taking on their chief division rivals in the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions, fresh off a commanding 20-6 home victory over the Atlanta Falcons, saw their record rise to 2-1. Meanwhile, the Packers mounted a furious second-half comeback against the New Orleans Saints, also seeing their record tick up to 2-1.

For this game — to be played on the not-yet-frozen tundra of Green Bay, where skies will be clear and temps will be in the low 60s at game time — the Lions come in as -117 moneyline favorites at BetRivers, laying a point at BetRivers at -112, or 1.5 points at -107 at Barstool.

The total for the game comes in at a relatively robust 45.5, with the over at -110 at BetMGM and the under at -105 at FanDuel.

Player prop central

On the player prop front, the over on Jared Goff’s yardage total can be had for as low as 249.5 yards at -114 at FanDuel. On the young season, Goff hasn’t thrown for fewer than 243 yards, and while the Packers have given up less than 600 yards in total passing yards through three games, they’ve faced Justin Fields, Desmond Ridder, and an injured David Carr.

If the under on Goff on the road is more attractive, DraftKings is offering -115, but at 255.5 yards.

Amon-Ra St. Brown once again paces the Lions in the receiving yardage prop category, with a total of 72.5 on the over at FanDuel at -114, and PointsBet on the under at -115 at 75.5 yards.

Rookie tight end Sam LaPorta – who has posted reception totals of five, five, and eight through his first three games – sees his reception prop come in at 4.5. The over is set +120 at DraftKings, the under at -150 at the same sportsbook.

Rushing yardage props have yet to be posted due to the uncertainty surrounding the health of running back David Montgomery. The game is set to kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET on Amazon Prime.
