The dining options at Hollywood Casino at Greektown are about to get a major facelift, according to a report from DBusiness magazine.

Chef Petro Drakopoulous is now the executive chef, in charge of every morsel of food the restaurants — including Prism steakhouse, Barstool Sportsbook, Rock Bar, the Monroe Market food hall, and all hotel banquets — have to offer.

“We’re thrilled to have Chef Petro at the reins of our culinary operations as executive chef,” John Drake, the general manager of Hollywood Casino at Greektown, said in the article. “His experience, leadership, creativity, and skills in the kitchen are beyond reproach.”

Drakopoulous, who got his start in the food industry with a hot dog stand in Chicago at age 15, comes to Greektown after two years at Detroit’s Atheneum Hotel.

“Under Chef Petro’s guidance, we’ll be working to offer guests and diners an unmatched culinary experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick, casual afternoon snack, celebrating with an elegant steakhouse dinner, or anything in between, we’re aiming to deliver the best in quality, taste, service, and dining experience,” said Drake.

Already, Drakopoulous has updated the Prism menu and is introducing a culinary menu to the Rock Bar. He will also be spearheading the opening of two more restaurants at the property, which as yet haven’t been named.

“The culinary world is always changing and advancing, and we want to ensure we’re keeping up with the latest trends, but delicious flavors, beautiful plating, and quality service never go out of style,” Petro said in the magazine’s report.  “We’re looking to combine the best of what’s been done at the property to date, and marry it with my personal touch for the ultimate culinary experience at Hollywood Casino at Greektown.”
