Michigan Cornhole League

Caesars Sportsbook and the Michigan Cornhole League (MCL) have announced a partnership in which Caesars has been named title sponsor for the spring 2022 MCL season.

The deal calls for Caesars to serve as title sponsor of weekly MCL events and for Caesars Sportsbook Michigan app users to be able to play in the league’s regional and state tournaments. MCL is also rolling out a new playing format named “Caesars Sportsbook Tournament of Champions.”

Caesars Sportsbook Tournament of Champions will give Caesars Sportsbook users and Caesars Rewards members in Michigan a chance to play at some of Michigan’s top cornhole venues during the spring season, which has scheduled tournament dates from Feb. 5 to March 26. Michigan State University and the University of Michigan are on the list to hold tournaments. The spring season will culminate at Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel with a championship with a total purse of $25,000.

“We’re excited to partner with Caesars Sportsbook to offer a new competitive statewide league format,” said MCL Director Jason Duflo. “Players can join, have a great time, and compete at a level suitable to their own skills in some of Michigan’s premier venues, culminating with a state finals weekend to name a champion.”

Free money for MCL fans

Caesars Sportsbook also announced that cornhole fans who sign up for the sports betting app will receive $300 in “free bets” after placing a $20 bet.

“Cornhole is a growing sport,” Duflo said. “By now, everyone has heard of the game and many people have played it while camping, tailgating, or in their own backyards.

“It’s a game that anyone can play, enjoy, or compete in and it’s a social sport that allows players to meet new people easily.”

Caesars Sportsbook operates in 21 states and jurisdictions, including 16 via mobile, while accounting for the largest number of retail sportsbooks across the country.
