Michigan’s online casinos had a record-breaking month for the third time in a row, with October’s gross receipts coming in at $109.7 million, shattering September’s previous record of $102.4 million, the Michigan Gaming Control Board reported Thursday.
And once again, BetMGM dominated the market, with $41.million in gross receipts, also a new record for the company.
Second place was DraftKings, with $19.6 million in gross receipts, with FanDuel third at $17.6 million. This was DraftKings’ best month by more than $3 million.
BetRivers finished a strong fourth with $7.3 million, and Barstool came in fifth at $4.5 million.
Golden Nugget continued its upward trajectory with a $5.2 million month, and WynnBet was next at $4.3 million.
Best of the rest
The rest of the online casinos were as follows: FourWinds, $2.1 million; TwinSpires, $1.8 million; Caesars, $1.7 million; Gun Lake, $1.3 million; Firekeepers, $1.1 million; Stars, $984,512; and PointsBet, $640,736.
Year-to-date, total gross receipts from the iGaming stands at a whopping $884.6 million.
For the month, the casinos paid $20.3 million in state taxes, $5.5 million to the city of Detroit, and another $2.2 million to tribes in the state.
Year-to-date, the casinos have paid out over $220 million in total taxes.
